SPEAKING PROCEDURE

1. All speakers will position themselves so they can approach the podium as quickly as possible.
Please submit speaker’s cards to the Commission Recording Secretary.

2. Those wishing to speak must sign in and state name and address.

3. Speakers will have THREE minutes each to present testimony. More time may be granted at the discretion of the Chairman. The Commission requests that they not be repetitive. When there is a large group wishing to speak, it will be appreciated if one or two persons could represent the group.

4. Public hearing will then be closed and debate will be limited to Commission and staff.

5. Commission votes on motion and the outcome is announced.

4)Co8-06-04 COMPREHENSIVE PLAN (CHAPTER 18.89)
An ordinance of the Board of Supervisors of Pima County, Arizona; relating to zoning, amending the Pima County Code (Title 18) by amending Chapter 18.89 (Comprehensive Plans) and Chapter 18.91 (Rezoning Procedures) for consistency with state legislation and the 2001 Pima County Comprehensive Plan Update. (All Districts)

5) Co9-06-45 VOYAGER RV RESORT LLC – KOLB ROAD REZONING
Request of Voyager RV Resort LLC, represented by MJM Consulting, for a rezoning of 0.63 from CMH-2 (County Manufactured and Mobile Home) to TR (Transitional), on property located approximately ¾ of a mile east of Kolb Road, and approximately 1,000 feet south of Benson Highway. The proposed rezoning conforms to the Pima County Comprehensive Plan Co7-00-20. (District 4)

INITIATION OF A ZONING CODE TEXT AMENDMENT

6) Staff requests that the Planning & Zoning Commission formally initiate the following text amendment and direct staff to bring them forward to the Planning and Zoning Commission for hearing at their February meeting. The text amendment will correct a discrepancy between the existing language in Chapter 18.101 of the Pima County Zoning Code, and Arizona Revised Statute 11-807. Currently, within the Zoning Code, a Board of Adjustment member must reside within the unincorporated portion of the supervisor district from which they are appointed. The State Statute only requires that Board of Adjustment members be residents and taxpayers of the district that they are appointed to. Currently, members of each Board of Adjustment are out of compliance with the unincorporated residency requirement in the Zoning Code. To help bring existing Board of Adjustment members into compliance, and to help staff fill existing Board of Adjustment vacancies, staff is proposing to amend the language within the Zoning Code to match the language within the State Statutes.
