The request is for a variance for the Estates at Old Spanish Trail subdivision
P1203-082, Lots 1-116, to allow two cul de sacs to exceed the maximum
1,000 feet allowed in the CR-1 zoning district by 745 feet for a total
length of 1,745 feet for one street and by 517 feet for a total length
of 1,517 feet for the other.

Request of Pima County for a rezoning of about 455 acres from IR (Institutional
Reserve) to ML (Mount Lemmon) and a rezoning of about 9.2 acres from ML
(Mount Lemmon) to RVC (Rural Village Center). The area proposed to be
rezoned to ML is located in four areas generally described as the Willow
Canyon area (portions of Sections 15 and 16 of T12S, R16E); the Mt. Bigelow
area (a portion of Section 4 of T12S, R16E); the Soldier Camp area (portions
of Sections 5 and 6 of T12S, R16E and portions of Sections 31 and 32 of
T11S, R16E); and the Loma Linda/Summerhaven area (portions of Sections
30 and 31 of T11S, R16E and portions of Sections 25 and 36 of T11S, R15E),
in the Catalina Foothills Subregion. The area proposed to be rezoned to
RVC is located on the north and south sides of east Turkey Run Road, near
its intersection with Sabino Canyon Parkway and on the east and west sides
of the northern portion of Sabino Canyon Parkway in the village of Summerhaven.
The proposed rezoning conforms to the Pima County Comprehensive Plan Co7-00-20.
