Call to the Audience
SPEAKING PROCEDURE
1. All speakers will position themselves
so they can approach the podium as quickly as possible. Please
submit speaker's cards to the Commission Recording Secretary.
2. Those wishing to speak must sign in
and state name and address.
3. The applicant will speak first and
limit presentation to 15 minutes. The applicant may request and may
be granted additional time if Commission is notified prior to public
hearing.
4. Individual speakers from the audience
will have five minutes each to present testimony. The Commission
requests that they not be repetitive. When there is a large group
wishing to speak, it will be appreciated if one or two persons could
represent the group. They may request and be granted additional time
if the Commission Recording Secretary is notified prior to public
hearing.
5. The applicant will then have five
minutes to rebut points raised.
6. Public hearing will then be closed
and debate will be limited to Commission and staff.
7. Commission votes on motion and the
outcome is announced.

5) SPECIAL PRESENTATION
As per direction from County Administrator Chuck Huckelberry,
the Arizona State Land Department's Tucson Southlands Plan is
presented to the Planning and Zoning Commission for discussion to begin
the process of integrating it into the County's community-based comprehensive
planning process.

RETAIL ESTABLISHMENTS
Proposal to amend the Pima County Zoning Code (Title 18)
by adding definitions, development standards and review procedures
for Large-scale Retail Establishments, Regional Retail Centers and
Neighborhood Retail Centers. The proposed amendment will modify chapters
18.03 (General Definitions); 18.39 (proposed General Commercial Zoning
Provisions); 18.41 (RVC Rural Village Center Zone);18.43 (CB-1 Local
Business Zone); 18.45 (CB-2 General Business Zone); 18.49 (CPI Campus
Park Industrial Zone); 18.51 (CI-1 Light Industrial/Warehousing Zone);
18.53 (CI-2 General Industrial Zone); and 18.75 (Off-Street Parking
and Loading Standards) of the Pima County Zoning Code. The proposed
amendment will also add development standards and review procedures
for residential development in commercial zones by modifying chapters
18.39, 18.43 and 18.45. (All Districts)

Request of Robert and Cynthia Baker for a rezoning of
0.88 acres of a 1.91-acre parcel from GR-1 (Rural Residential) to CB-2

of the remaining 1.03 acres from GR-1 to CB-2, located on the west
side of Oracle Road just south of the Mainsail Boulevard alignment.
